Competence Center for PC film

The new state-of-the-art development plant for PC films at our Leverkusen site enhances our ability to study application technology issues, devise technical system solutions for our customers, and develop new films based on Makrolon®.

We can set up production chains identical to the ones operated by our customers – from printing through cutting or stamping to the thermoforming of the polycarbonate films.

A new screen printing system and a high pressure unit constitutes the main focal points of the development plant. In the Competence Center, the printed and thermoformed films can also be back-injected with other thermoplastics in a fully automatic process.
