Innovations made of TPU can be found in almost all areas of our daily lives.

Although they are used predominantly in traditional, not immediately visible applications such as toothed belts, TPU products are increasingly being used for applications in car interiors, too. New processing methods means, for example, that molded skins of TPU can be used in the production of instrument panels. They are produced by slush molding, a process which involves rotating a closed, heated mold containing powdered material in several axes until a layer of material fuses on the hot surface of the mold. After cooling, a uniform, three-dimensional skin of even thickness is produced, irrespective of how complex the component is. This is the molded skin. With its outstanding properties, TPU helps to reduce weight and, at the same time, satisfies the high expectations relating to quality and design.
