New Technologies (NT) is the technology scouting arm of New Business and concentrates on technologies outside the company’s operative business. We work intensively to identify leading researchers and their technologies and work proactively with them to apply their skills to our science. We are the primary contact for researchers in universities, institutes and startup companies with ideas and technologies relevant to Bayer MaterialScience in all fields. We also are the first contact for startups seeking partners.

In close coordination with our external and internal partners, we manage feasibility studies, the results of which we pass on to our internal partners to transform leading bench top technologies into world class products.
