But perhaps you have a more unusual hobby and enjoy playing underwater hockey in your free time. If you do, you might play with a new kind of puck whose edges are made of Bayer MaterialScience's Desmopan® 385 thermoplastic polyurethane. This gives better contact with the hockey stick and thus makes for more goals. Above the water, too, Desmopan® 385 is being used for more and more applications, e.g. leg-ropes for surfers, where it has been chosen because of its high elasticity and abrasion resistance.
