Resins and films are the world of the Thermoplastic Polyurethanes Business Unit (BU TPU).
TPUs play an integral part in our daily lives. They are in the shoes and clothes we often wear, the cars we drive, the tools we use and a variety of sports equipment. But that is not all, there are many more examples of how TPUs can improve our lives.
Following the acquisition of Taiwan Ure-Tech Group on July 1, 2007, BMS TPU is now the largest supplier and solutions provider in the world of thermoplastic polyurethanes.
It now has a total of eight TPU resins and films production facilities around the world; four of which are located in the world’s largest TPU market: Asia Pacific; two in Europe and two in North America. The business employs 650 people dedicated to meeting customer needs around the world.
TPU resins are sold under Desmopan®, Texin® and Utechllan® brands, and under Pandex®, the brand of DIC Bayer Polymer Ltd.; a joint venture with Dainippon Ink & Chemicals, Inc. in Japan. The TPU films brands include Dureflex®, and Platilon®, Walotex® and Walopur®. These grades are produced and sold by its subsidiaries Deerfield Urethane and Epurex Films.
BMS TPU understands the local markets around the world and attaches great importance to meeting the needs of its regional customers, which include major global players across the full spectrum of industry, as well as medium-sized companies that differ considerably from one country to another.
BMS TPU is constantly developing new products for customers to satisfy the ever-changing needs of diverse markets.
